Wendy Pople 01923 224244 How much is it? £30 per hour for the whole hall current rate (£22.00 for regular users, from 1st April 2010), £15.00 per hour for the lounge only (£12.00 for regular users). What facilities does it have? 2 toilets, well equipped kitchen, chairs, tables, gas
heaters. The hall can also be divided into two.
Baptisms Do you baptise babies? Yes. Do you baptise babies who live outside the parish? No, unless their families are members of this church and attend regularly here. Do you baptise babies of families who live in the parish but don't attend the church? Yes, but it is much better they start to attend the services! Do you baptise adults? Yes, and the preparation is quite detailed - a course lasting maybe 3 months. How do we find out more? Visit the vicar at his Vestry Time on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays and August) between 7pm and 7.30pm, inside the church main door. Weddings Do you marry people who don't live in your parish? No, unless at least one of them is on our electoral roll (church membership list, i.e. they attend church here regularly). Is it sufficient that a person used to live in the parish or that their parents still live in the parish? No, the law states that the person getting married must reside in the parish. Do you remarry divorcees? As a general rule, no, but the vicar has the discretion to do so in circumstances he considers to be truly exceptional. He will discuss it with anyonewho wants to persue the matter, but only on the clear understanding that the most likely outcome is 'no'. Do you perform a 'Service of Blessing' for people following a Registry Office wedding? Yes, and there are no restrictions for the on whether you live in the parish or attend church here. How much is a wedding? Currently about £300. How do we find out more? Visit the vicar at his Vestry Hour on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays and August) between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, inside the church main door. Funerals How do we arrange a funeral? Contact the funeral director of your choice (see Yellow Pages). Don't contact the church directly. Is it possible to have a funeral service in the church? Yes, anyone, including those who don't live in the parish, can have a service in the church.
