Firstly, we are an Anglican (Church of England) church. That means there's a vicar (Revd Chris Cottee), a parish (9,000 people in 3,500 local homes) and a certain amount of liturgy in our services (we use service-books with some set prayers and so on).

We try to keep this amount in balance as too much can easily become 'dry' whereas we what our worship to be joyful and alive - a real meeting with God, not a formal repetition of set words. On the other hand, prayers and other parts of the service that we say together can help us to focus on God and feel that we are doing it as a group, not just alone.

We are a 'bible-based' church as we believe that God is known and rightly understood through the Word that He Himself has given us. We are also seeking to be open to the Holy Spirit, who makes our relationship with Jesus Christ real and alive.

Joyful worship, biblical teaching, loving fellowship, dedicated prayer, glad giving and effective outreach are all central to our life here.
