" Our Aim is to worship God, to nurture our church family, to play our part in the wider church, and to serve the local community, drawing people to Christ"
We like to think of ourselves as a friendly group of people, welcoming to all. We have a good number of young families, which means we are welcoming to children and try to make them feel at home as part of the church.
We try to be constantly aware that the 'job' Jesus gave to his Church is to reach out and draw all people to Him, and that requires that we be outward-looking in our attitudes and accessible to those who are not used to 'church'.
We have a large 'fringe' of people who are loosely connected to us but who don't attend regularly. We seek to maintain friendly contact with these people, whilst gradually increasing their awareness of all that Christ might want to become in their lives.
We are very much part of the community here in the roads around the church. It helps that the local community has an identifiable centre - Knutsford School, the shops, post-office and pub; and St Peter's is certainly part of that centre.
We work hard at maintaining those community links through Mums and Toddlers, Family Services, a close relationship with the school, special Christmas services, an 'open' Sunday School, etc.
